Hmmm...kinda bad news for me

Hey there,
Just a real quick post...I FINALLY went and got my fasting bloodwork done and I got the results. I apparently don't have a slow thyroid problem which surprised me but my test results showed I am pre-diabetic, which is SO not good. I know it's the excess weight I've been carrying around that is leading me down that path, so I'm going to need to make some real lifestyle changes and I will need to make them stick.

You can control it with diet. My brother didn't do what he was told and it was very bad..he became very ill and had to go on insulin......but in the last two years by watching and controlling what he was eating he has really turned his health around. He may be able to get off insulin soon. It is really a lifestyle change but a doable one:)

Thank you so much my friends!
Yes, the dr. is suggesting exercise and a low-cholesterol diet and I need to repeat the bloodwork in 3 months. Ucky. : 0
Yes, looks like I'm gonna have to start being a 'good' girl with what I eat and drink, etc.
I'm still processing it mentally and then I will get with some new routines and see how it goes.
I can't thank you enough for your support!!

Cindy

Cindy,
You can beat it...The fresh veggies and fruits taste better anyhoo! There are diabetic cook books and dessert books as well. You won't suffer at all following a balanced food regime and you will eat more often and feel full and won't eat the foods that aren't good for you! I'll be thinking of you!

big hugzzzzzzzz
